Clinical Scenario
A 28-year-old woman is referred to the surgical outpatient clinic with an 18-month history of worsening pelvic pain, painful periods, and pain on defaecation that is worse around the time of her period. She also reports difficulty conceiving for the past 12 months. Pelvic ultrasound shows bilateral complex ovarian cysts with 'ground glass' contents.
