Clinical Scenario
A 54-year-old woman is referred by her GP after routine blood tests show an adjusted calcium of 2.95 mmol/L. She reports mild fatigue, constipation, and low mood. Her eGFR is 58 mL/min. Subsequent PTH returns elevated at 12.8 pmol/L (NR 1.1–6.8 pmol/L).
