Clinical Scenario
A 68-year-old man presents with a 4-month history of altered bowel habit and intermittent PR bleeding, initially attributed to haemorrhoids. Colonoscopy reveals a 4 cm circumferential mass in the sigmoid colon. Biopsy confirms adenocarcinoma. CT staging shows no distant metastases.
